In collaboration with Prof. Pierre-Yves Rohan’s group (Arts et Metiers Institute of Technology, Paris), we recently published a finite element-based investigation of compressive muscle mechanics that supports the theory of fluid pressurization as a major contributor to compressive muscle stiffness. This work utilizes data collected by Anurag Vaidya ’21 and is a “bridge” to ongoing work led by Sabrina Lorza ’23 in the MMOT group. Check out the paper here!
